Pioneers of Polk Country and Reminiscences of Early Days is compilation of biographical sketches of prominent figures during the early history of Des Moines and Polk County. The content of these two volumes appeared in the Des Moines Register and Leader in the years 1904-5-6. The actual biographical sketches for Volume II are not accessible on line. They are in print format which can be found at the Central, East Side, Franklin, and North Side locations of the Des Moines Public Library.
